Dynamit is looking for a driven self-starter with experience leading and growing software delivery teams in the product or consulting space. Experience with project architecture, multi-developer delivery projects and business forecasting a plus. This exciting role will work closely with the Managing Partner on implementing strategic initiatives and be overseeing the daily operations and performance of associates in their practice group. Practice Group Directors are responsible for forecasting and planning work that falls within their portfolio and then overseeing the daily operations of their team resulting in on time, on budget projects delivered with high quality and high client satisfaction. Practice Group Directors are responsible for growing their book of business by supporting the pursuit of additional business in partnership with the Client Engagement Leader and New Business team. This position reports to the Managing Partner.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for authoring and socializing the strategic plan of the practice group
  • Responsible for the maintenance and growth of practice group revenue and the support of new business efforts across the company
  • Inform and train sales staff on capabilities of group
  • Support and collaborate with team to deliver on the ask of the new business team when a new sales opportunity is presented
  • Responsible to make decisions regarding staffing & profitability
  • Identify appropriate staffing needs for practice group based on current and forecasted work
  • Coach and collaborate with project managers as needed to develop project plans for more complicated projects
  • Identify risks and approve associated mitigation plans
  • Accountable for the quality, budget, timeline, and client satisfaction of work in practice group
  • Work with team members within the practice group to inspect and ensure projects are delivered to high quality and meet the business objectives of our clients
  • Ensure group is aligned with the overall direction of the company
  • Understand and communicate the vision for the company and how the practice group fits into that vision
  • Monitoring practice group financial performance by reviewing monthly financial reports and providing analysis to managing partner in preparation for management meetings, including utilization, headcount/FTE, revenue, expenses, profitability at various levels and related statistics
  • Coordinating and ensuring regular and consistent internal practice-focused communications. Drafting internal communications and facilitating information delivery to practice group members and decision-makers
  • Working with project management team to address productivity issues, workload management needs and staffing plans
